Part time to full-time career

That is the way many of us take.

I heard my friend, a coach, the other day about how he got that from a personal trainer. Like most of us, began part-time after some time has been able to build full time and is making a career as a successful coach.

My form is very similar, I have not proven work at a gym because I wanted a career, personal training, I loved the exercise, would have a gym workout in, no money for a gym, and needed a job (because "no money" part.J)

I suspect that most personal trainers are the same. Yes, some of us there were training school staff (and this trend is growing rapidly), but most of us, of course, became the industry for similar reasons;

• "I can not work behind a desk!"
• "I like working with people and help achieve your goals!
• "I love working outside, be active and play sports!

Where does this passion for health, fitness, and exercise comes?

Often, based on our experience with the transformative power of exercise. I personally went from a skinny, shy, timid to adapt Kid successful, happy, and personal trainer at home with an impressive career and celebrity clients.

And you can too!

Until there is such passion, committed to invest in training yourself and have a sincere desire to help people, then you can have a successful career in this industry. Recently I heard assign instructors say they are frustrated with their business and the need for more customers. They do little work or work part time and really just want help more people.

If this sounds like you, I hope it encourages the idea that most of the instructors started the same way they do not train on time complete up to 2 years in my fitness career (he was studying full time in college at the time).

Focus on helping others, and the money will follow

If you are receiving only just begun, Take one step at a time. Even if you have a single customer, work hard to consistently exceed expectations of customers and more customers will come. Our industry is exploding, literally, right now, along the belt for the average size of our Nationwide, the number of people who need your help multiply;

• According to IDEA Health & Fitness, training industry to individuals has increased 21%
1996 – 2000, and continues to grow, by coincidence, with the rate of obesity in the United States, which has increased each year, decade.
• According to the Centers for Disease Control, 67% of Americans are overweight or obese!
• Not to mention that many people with "poor genes" that are still very unhealthy (even if these people are less inclined to seek our help later when their bodies literally begin to collapse.)

There are many opportunities out there, but because our industry is relatively new and examples, very few success unorganized personal trainers who have already opened the door. Our next job is just to the forefront our national consciousness as the obesity epidemic and the explosion of the limitation of "sick care" (wait until someone who is ill) is increasingly obvious to the masses.

For there are 3 keys to build a career in Personal Training Success

Everything need to build a successful career is:

1. Continually invest in yourself with education.
2. Believe in the power and exploit the exercise to convert people.
3. Be passionate about helping people.

Money, success and lifestyle will continue if you focus on helping people.

When I Grow Up, I Want Be a personal trainer!

Has anyone heard a child say that?

I know I am (if any, leave a comment below, I love to hear).

I want future generations of children to say, all it aims to be a fireman, policeman, doctor, astronaut or pilot.

Why? Because they are so important, creative and powerful as any of the jobs, if not more!

But for that to happen, it will boost our industry forward, hold us and our customers the highest standards, and redefining what it means to be a professional personal trainer. Even if you are a beginner, it is always a good idea to start with the end in mind and dream big.

Unfortunately, assigning personal trainers should be given to the profession a bad reputation for not passionate about helping people and / or committed to learning. They are stuck in the same model and the same formation, whether due to an ego or self-image or perhaps unbalanced. They do not realize there is not much difference between the experience of 15 years and 1 year of experience repeated 15 times!

This is challenging because we have to overcome people's preconceived ideas that a personal trainer, but is also an opportunity to differentiate ourselves and rises. The best way to achieve is to establish a high standard for himself and build a business around this foundation.

What is a professional coach, personal?

Have you ever asked this question? Otherwise, the ideal time to do so. The definition of its own mission statement of morality, and the level of practice will provide the foundation for a successful career staff training.

Below is "The Customer Bill of Rights," a set of standards have myself when working with clients. I hope all my coaches and exceed these standards. Because my work is the minimum level of professionalism, not maximum, and must be met consistently.

Bill's law client that the client is entitled to a Personal coach:

• Topics of its steady progress and objectives of their evolution.
• helps you define and achieve goals that are SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely).
• Maintains You started with fun and interesting exercises.
• remains attentive and focused on each session.
• Confirm each appointment.
• Communication and has an excellent ability to listen.
• Provides safe and effective workout.
• Teach effective use of knowledge (if you know how to develop better on their own).
• Is always on time, prepared with good hygiene and professional appearance.
• Good availability of their schedule, they rarely is canceled and provides advance notice when canceling.
• Respond to all emails, text messages and voice communications immediately.
• Provides motivation, inspiration and leadership.
• Provides an ongoing program of staff training.
• Challenges work independently, be more independent in the exercise, addresses and lifestyle.
• Answers to fund your health and beauty, in collaboration with a network of health professionals.

You may not agree with the above, and is fantastic. Fitness should never be the same. But go ahead and take what you want from above, modify, add what you feel is necessary for your business and make a commitment to this standard. A professional sales tool

Print your own "Bill of Rights. Share with potential customers. Write a blog about this, or put it in your mission statement in place. I like to share this "Bill of Rights" with the perspectives that are at point of sale, just before he was asked what size package you want to invest in.

It's great to have an impression than to give them something to look for them when they go home and make sure they are committed to your success and different coaching staff Avg. I also set my company logo and image on it, I think it sends a strong message that I am committed to these standards and success. Showing their level of commitment, speed that will inspire your game and make a commitment to themselves!

The "Declaration of Rights" is also a good tool to eliminate prospects. Ideally, you have eliminated almost all those not serious about training before sending them a free session to avoid wasting time. So before setting a free period, share with them and ask if they will be able to match his level of commitment, this is a great way to turn the tables on them, not the shop of a good coach, you are shopping for a good customer

Yes, scare some people, but people who stay around a great potential, and if you help them realize this potential, naturally more customers. Turning the tables in this way can not only weed the outlook is worse than a waste of time, but also encourage and attract potential customers.
