How can I get the third year of my brother want to read chapter books on their own?
Hello. My brother refuses to read some advanced (ie, Redwall) on their own. The only books that are read by themselves are comics or picture books (ie, Berenstein Bear, Flat Stanley, Tomie dePaola). I love the story, so I submitted it to the "My Name is America" books, but he refuses to read for yourself. Any suggestions for reading longer books and more advanced?
Ask your local librarian for suggestions that are appropriate for their reading level. I would say that Captain Underpants "series." My son can not quit. There are also many others that appeal to this age group, including the goose bumps and my teacher is an alien and Bunnicula. Anything with a favorite charactor tends to hook em '. If you love comics, introducing more sophisticated "graphic novels" which is the same essentailly thing.
